UCT Physics Colloquium: Prof Kai Zuber, Technical University Dresden, Germany
Neutrinos are still the big mystery of particle physics. However, in the last decade dramatic progress was made by establishing a non-vanishing rest mass of the neutrino. The experimental observations leading to this breakthrough will be presented and the current picture of neutrinos masses and mixing will be explained. Based on that the major open questions will be discussed including an outlook into future activities.
